Day four 12th Feb 2010
1320 the coke egg. the water egg. close up of the water egg. there is not much colour difference. it feels very bouncy. close up of the coke egg. can you see the patterns on the egg? it has changed from translucent to brown in colour. the coke zero egg. video of us taking the mass of the eggs. recording of results. after we had completed taking all the results, we thought it might be fun to burst open the eggs to see what was inside :) video of the breaking of the coke zero egg. broke open the egg which was in the coke zero (thankfully we recorded the results already) yuck! there was sort of a slimy substance around the yolk. this is probably the egg white? this is a video of us breaking the coke zero egg. you can see there is a bubble around the coke egg. this is probably the egg white. the liquid thing that surrounds the egg is probably the substances that diffused through the egg's membrane. close ups of the egg yolk, egg white, membrane and the liquid. thin layer of membrane of the egg in coke. underside colour is a lighter brown. video of us popping the water egg. it fell into the drain x: Membrane of the egg in distilled water. membrane and yolks of the eggs which were in the coke zero and coke solution. All of the eggs and membranes all together. Pouring out the coke zero liquid as we could see a residue inside of it. residue most probably would be from the residue left from the egg after it was soaked in vinegar. all of the eggs and liquids together. its a mess! cleaning up :)
